Dear Friends and Art Lovers,

I’m so excited to be back in Salt Lake City for “Art in Pilar’s Garden” and exhibiting with the Pilar Pobil Legacy Foundation. After such a long period of distancing and sheltering in place, it will be wonderful to connect in person again! We begin THIS FRIDAY evening from 5-9p.m., and continue both Saturday and Sunday evenings. Come mingle with us in the beauty of Pilar’s magical garden, while enjoying wine and light refreshments and engaging with the art and artists. We look forward to seeing you!

Please spread the word!

Atelier 5553

I am honored and delighted to be the Artist in Residence at La Huipilista Artspace in beautiful San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. I fell in love with the region in 2011, while visiting this magical colonial village after making my first pilgrimage to the Shrine of the Virgin of Guadalupe. The importance of the pilgrimage was seeded early in my childhood as I grew up knowing that my birthday was held under the mantle of this most important feast day. It is truly a dream come true for me as an artist to be living, working and exhibiting here, as Artist In Residence, in this place where beauty, color and inspiration abound!

My vision for this show is to provide a visual narrative of my journey and experiences, both in life and art, offered through the lens of the divine feminine perspective, which holds the heart and soul of experience. The art invites you, the viewer, to enter in to a dreamscape. You will seek and find hidden portals that will invite you to discover your own soul’s journey. Symbols embedded in the individual pieces inspire the question, “What dreams are hidden inside the corners of your own heart?”

A collaborative installation is also included, “Love Letters to the Children and Families.” You, our visitors, will be invited to share your thoughts and prayers for those currently impacted by the U.S. administration’s border separation policy.

Please join us at the opening reception Friday, October 12th from 5-7pm at La Huipilista Artspace.

The exhibition will run through November 3rd.
