Hi, everyone! I just wanted to take a moment & share my painting, “Earth Angel” with you on this most sacred of days, “Earth Day.” When I look at her and the way in which she is holding the Earth as tenderly & lovingly as a newborn baby in her arms, I am deeply reminded of the importance of treating our “home” with that level of intense care. Our planet & all of it’s abundant resources provide endlessly all that we need, more than we need, really. Yet we seem to be facing one crisis after another, much caused by our general lack of appreciation & abuse of what is more than enough. Let’s all take just a moment today to think of one way that we could tread just a tad more lightly on this Sacred Ground, and then try to carry that forward into our week, year, perhaps even our lifetime. Maybe just recycling a little more, or eating a little more organic food, or re-using, recycling, up-cycling or donating items, rather than just throwing them away. There really is no “away,” is there, because it all stays right here with us. It just gets moved to another place.

Thanks, as always for stopping by & for reading this & supporting me.

***”Earth Angel,” acrylic on canvas, original 16″x20″ painting is available for purchase, as well as prints, cards & giclees. Happy MLK Holiday, everyone! On the wings of the courageous Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., I, too, would like to say: “I have a dream…” Do you have a dream?? I’ll bet you do. Several years ago, while living in a new city (suburb, really) with my husband and two preschool children, a seed was planted in me. I had no family or friends in this new place, so I spent a lot of time by myself or in the company of the children. I was no longer working as an International Flight Attendant, as I had done for many years. Instead I had chosen, with the support of my husband, to stay home and raise the kids. Firstly, I must say, I’m really happy with that choice. But some of those days, as I’m sure many stay-at-home parents will agree with me on, were extremely challenging. But, gradually, things began to change. I believe that every cloud does, indeed, have a silver lining. And often, behind that cloud, waiting in that silver lining, is an angel. Now, my angels come in many forms.  Sometimes, they appear in dreams or thoughts; sometimes in image, word or prayer. But, I must say that, at least for me, my favorite angels appear in human form. I can cite a number of examples, but I’m certain that if you think about it for a moment, you will know exactly what I’m talking about. Which brings me to my point. I believe in DREAMS, just as Dr. Martin Luther King did. And, I believe in ANGELS. And this is why I am so excited to announce, that I will be teaching in an on-line course, beginning in May, called “ANGELS IN MY STUDIO,” led by Sheri Ann Ponzi! We will be joined by a number of other amazing artists & teachers, as well. So, you see, I believe in myself & my dreams, I believe in the messages received from angels & I believe in YOU! Just look at me for an example. I am now a working artist, & fulfilling yet another dream: teaching an on-line spiritual & creative workshop with an incredible group of artists & teachers. Believe me, if I can do it, you can do it! Sign in for my newsletter to receive all of the latest information on the course right here, up on the right, in the box that days “SIGN ME UP!” (That’s just for my newsletter. Sign-ups for the course will begin in March.) “ANGELS IN MY STUDIO” course description can be found at: http://www.paintingherselfintobeing.com ***P.S.***DON’T FORGET TO COME DOWN TO THE GYPSY NIGHT MARKET IN CHINATOWN FOR FEBRUARY’S FIRST FRIDAY ART EVENT ON 2/3/12 5-10 PM

Hi, my glitter gypsies! How are you today? I am very well, thank you! I want to send out a BIG MAHALO to all of the beautiful women & girls who attended my 1st retreat of the Fall Series on 9/10/11! We had a terrific time & everyone left with a finished Mandala that they all really loved! It was so fascinating to watch while each person created something from their own heART, not really knowing the outcome, but trusting in the process. Lots of support & inspiration were flowing freely & lovingly. The Mandalas all turned out very differently, reflecting the personal journeys that each person was on.

We began in a Ritual, known as “the Red Thread Ceremony.” Many years ago, my teacher, mentor & artist extraordinaire, Shiloh Sophia McCloud, introduced me to this ritual & passed it on to me to share with even more women. It is a way of creating a vessel, or sacred space, to hold all of us safely in the arms of freedom to create that which is wanting to be expressed, even if we’re not sure exactly what that is. It was a beautiful & blessed day, to be sure.

Again, I would like to thank all of the women & girls who joined me on 9/10/11! Which brings me to the next workshop on 10/01/11, 10:30-5:30 again. This time, we will be creating 3-dimensional shrines (or memory boxes.)An amazing workshop that you won’t want to miss!!! Just go to the Home Page & click on Personal Shrines & Memory Boxes button & all of the details are there. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Sign up early, & get a discount + save your spot! Hope to see you there!!!

P.S. Within the next few days, I will be posting A SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT/OPPORTUNITY! It is very exciting how the Universe plopped this into my lap, as I am open & flowing & following my heART , even if I’m not sure where it’s leading me…… Mahalo…..Glitter Gypsy

"Our Lady of Peace and Love"~~Dedicated to World Peace & Love on this 10th Anniversary of 9/11/2001

On this very significant weekend of not only the 10 year anniversary of the tragedy of 9/11/2001, but also, the numerical significance of the date tomorrow(9/10/11), as well as the “Full Moon in Virgo”, there is definitely a lot of energy moving around in the Universe.

Last night, I was up into the wee hours finishing this painting, “Our Lady of Peace and Love”~~dedicated to WORLD Peace and Love on this, the anniversary weekend of 9/11/2001.

I really wanted to go to sleep, as I need my rest to be ready to lead my “Women’s Creative Spirituality Workshop” this weekend. But, for some reason, this beautiful Lady kept calling out to me in Her gentle & loving way. “I need you to finish this, BEFORE this MOST SIGNIFICANT weekend to spread love & peace in the World. THEY NEED ME & this is something that you can do, in your own small way, to be a part of that POSITIVE energy.” So I listened, & I did it & here She is!

I’d also like to invite you to be a part of this “POSITIVE ENERGY MOVEMENT” with ME tomorrow at my Workshop! I REALLY want you all to come! This time, don’t worry @ $$. Payment plans & scholarships are available. This is about something BIGGER for me, for US. Please sign up, I will make it work!
