Glitter Gypsy’s Art & Adventures Update!

Aloha All! February is going to be a full month!

Glitter Gypsy’s Art & Adventures is actively supporting local events and wants to share the fun with you. From film openings to Night Markets to On-line Art Workshops, the sparkle is being spread!

First of all, Glitter Gypsy’s Art and Adventures is thrilled to participate in the Hawaii premier of “The Hooping Life” this Thursday, February 2nd from 6-9pm at Arts @ Marks Garage

1159 Nu`uanu Avenue – Honolulu, HI 96813

The Hooping Life Film Screening is a fundraiser event raising awareness and funds.

50% of all proceeds to benefit GirlFest Hawaii

Susan Risse will be donating an original framed painting for the silent auction. She will also have a fun drawing for an art prize AND will be donating 1 Mentorship to an at-risk woman or girl. (all information gathered will be strictly confidential-details at event.)

The film documents the hula-hoop phenomenon and supports art, dance and culture and is brought to you by R(e)volve Hawaii and local sponsors like Glitter Gypsy, Susan Conrad Risse.

The night includes:

6-6:30pm         Welcome & Silent Auction Opens
6:40-6:50pm    LED Hoop Dance Performance by Revolve Hawaii
6:50-8:00pm    THE HOOPING LIFE FILM SCREENING
8:00-8:20 pm   Q&A with Anah aka Hoopalicious & Revolve Hawaii
8:20-9:00pm    DANCE PARTY! Hoops to try and music for the vibe!

The following evening, Glitter Gypsy Art and Adventures takes you to a night market in Honolulu’s Chinatown District where you will discover more local artists! GYPSY NIGHT MARKET in Chinatown (Honolulu) for February’s First Friday Arts on February 3, 2012~~5:30-10:00p.m. We will be in the “Chinatown Courtyard” at 1109 Maunakea St, Honolulu, HI 96817. Come be a part of this eclectic and exotic event.

Finally, while this isn’t happening in February, you’ll want to plan now for what’s happening next:

“Angels In My Studio” Course will be featuring Susan Risse as a guest teacher in March. The transformational process of the art we create can be powerful. Join Susan as she shares her methods of both connecting with the divine and imparting its message through art. “Angels In My Studio” lessons will be delivered each month through embedded and downloadable video, audio, and written word. The first lesson will be released on May 1st. More details coming soon!

Hello, my glitter gypsies! I am SOOOOOO Excited to announce my  EVENT: “RETREAT WITH PELE” in Hilo, HI (on the “Big Island” of Hawaii) on 11/11/11.

I’m so excited about this one that I’ll apologize in advance if this blog goes “all over the place.” So…… here’s what I’ve got for you ~(registration OPEN TO ALL WOMEN):

***3 DAY RETREAT~11/11/11~11/13/11

***REASON: TO CELEBRATE & BE A PART OF THE OPENING OF A NEW VORTEX ON VERY SACRED LAND ON 11/11/11. A VERY WELL KNOWN, RESPECTED & GIFTED KAHUNA WILL LEAD OUR ‘FIREPIT MEDICINE CIRCLE’ TO OPEN A NEW VORTEX THAT WILL LEAD US INTO A NEW PARADIGM ON MOTHER EARTH. SHE HAS BEEN INSTRUCTED BY HER ANCESTORS (NATIVES OF THIS SACRED LAND FOR MANY GENERATIONS) TO OPEN THIS PARTICULAR VORTEX TO USHER IN THE ‘NEW TIMES.’

***I have been invited, personally, by her to join in this ancient ritual & to bring any women with me that feel the calling to be a part of this amazing opening on 11/11/11!!!

***2:00 p.m.~ Meet at Tibeten Temple near Wood Valley, HI for ceremony with “KUMU” (Teacher/Kahuna).

***4:00p.m.~Return to our cottage to rest/meditate until 6p.m.

***6:00p.m.~ Potluck style dinner at the Lodge, followed by:

KUMU LEADING US OUT TO THE FIREPIT FOR THE ANCIENT HEALING MEDICINE CIRCLE (TO BOTH HEAL US AND OUR PLANET AND INVITE IN THE NEW ENERGY.)

***Retire for the evening.

***11/12/11: Meet at 11:30a.m. in the Main Room (on-site) for my “OPENING RED THREAD CIRCLE CEREMONY”, introductions & coffee.

***12:30-1:30: Break for lunch/walk.

***1:30-6:00 : PAINTING ‘OUR EXPERIENCE’ FROM THE PREVIOUS NIGHT/MORNING.’ {Feel free to take walks/breaks/snacks as desired.}

***6:00p.m.: Break for dinner.

***7:30p.m.: Retire for the evening to rest/reflect/meditate/journal as desired.

***11/13/11: 10:00a.m.~ Meet in Main Room for our trip to the Volcano (Pele’s Home, Goddess of Fire.)

***12:30: Return to cottage for lunch, followed by our closing circle ceremony & sharing.

***Clean up our supplies & dried paintings & pack to depart.

OOOOH! Look at the Studio!

This is my studio, where I will be hosting my next “Women’s Creative Spirituality Workshop” on October 29th from 10:30~5:30, Theme: “Nichos.” There will also be another one on December 3rd(Cleansing Ritual) to round out the Fall Series. We will create our own “nicho” (tin & glass little shrines, that I chose & brought back from Mexico.)You will leave with your own hand-made nicho that you have created in 1 day! All materials & instructions are included. Feel free to create out on the lanais overlooking the vast Pacific Ocean & Koko Head, or at one of the many tables with a view inside the studio. You needn’t ANY art experience, as this will be a process lead from the heart. The entire day (any workshop) is just $75.00! $25.00 will “hold your spot” allowing you to pay the balance in smaller increments. Please join me & other like-minded women in a day for YOU! A day to express YOUR dreams & desires, without judgement or question. A day to release any “stuck” feelings or desires that have been dying to be expressed.
