How was your summer? Mine has been busy, and full of creative adventures! It began in June with the Champagne Art Salon that Lucie Lynch & I co-created, with the theme of “The Voice” emerging. Lucie is a sublime international singer & songwriter that I feel so fortunate to not only to call my friend, but a colleague as well. You’ve just got to check her out on Facebook or at http://www.lucieslighthouse.com. You’re going to love her & her mesmerizing voice & song writing.

So the evening began with an Open Studio Art Salon, mingling & sharing my art with the beautiful group of people that joined us. The champagne was flowing, delicious food was partaken & we all enjoyed the hypnotic views of Koko Head & the endless blue of the Pacific Ocean. What a treat it was! At 7:00pm, we gathered in our living room for an incredible living room concert with Lucie. I unveiled my latest painting, “She Activates Her Voice” & shared my story of her creation with everyone. I explained how this painting literally manifested itself by my using a method known as “Intentional Creativity,” as taught to me by artist & mentor, Shiloh Sophia McCloud. This is a process in which one sets a particular INTENTION for the painting and then intuitively ALLOWS the painting to come into form. A give & take relationship develops between the painting & the artist. Lucie then began the concert by telling us her story about activating her own voice & continued to sing & tell us many more stories through her beautiful music.

I am so grateful to everyone who attended, supported & had fun with us! I am humbly honored to have shared the stage with Lucie. I would also like to thank Leo & Marika Hura of LeoVidPro for filming the event. You can view the synopsis of the evening on their YouTube channel. And a huge shout out to my wonderful husband for helping out in whatever was needed.

I definitely plan to do more events like this, so if this is the kind of thing you enjoy and you live or travel to Oahu, sign up to receive my newsletter. Hello, dear friends! How have you been? I’ve been away for a while due to some health issues, so I REALLY appreciate your stopping back in here! I’ve missed you.

Anyhoo, I’m really excited to announce my next event, and I do hope that you can join me! It’s on the evening of 12/12/12 in Honolulu, Hawaii at Glitter Gypsy Studio. Mark it on your calendar, ok? It’s not only on the night of the “New Moon,” which symbolizes new beginnings, but numerically, it’s also really significant. The next time we have a numerical line-up like this will be in 01-01-2101! And it’s also my Birth-day! Not to mention that my Birth-Day is & has always fallen on the Feast Day of the Virgen of Guadalupe, Protectress of all of the Americas & my Patron Saint. So…if these aren’t enough reasons to celebrate & create in community, then I don’t know what is?! After a rough year for me & for so many others that I know, would you like to join me for an evening of abundant new energy? This potent combination of the New Moon’s energy, the numerical energy of 12/12/12, the Feast Day of “Our Lady,” revered by so many around the World & the energy of me beginning a brand new year in my life is sure to create a powerfully energizing night! Won’t you please join me as we vision our future together in a creative way?

What to expect:

**5:30-6:15p.m.: Drinks, food & socializing

**6:15-6:45p.m.: Circle Ritual: Introductions, Connection, Ritual

**6:45-8:45p.m.: Creating Your “Vision Board” for 2013 by visually documenting the coming year as you see & desire it to be. We will be journalling, collaging, embellishing & of course, !glittering! onto your Vision Board to cement your intentions into your psyche & then send them out into the Universe. You will leave with not only a beautiful piece of art that you’ve created, but a tangible visual reminder to refer to throughout the coming year. Setting clear intentions &  seeing visual reminders dramatically improves your success rate for living your “Dream Life” in 2013. By ‘putting it out there’ rather than just having “spinning thoughts” in your head allows it to become REAL. **NO PREVIOUS ART EXPERIENCE NECESSARY.**

**8:45-9:15p.m.: Closing Circle Ritual with community sharing

**LIVE MUSIC BY INTERNATIONAL PROFESSIONAL SINGER/SONGWRITER LUCIE LYNCH TO ACCOMPANY & ENHANCE OUR CREATIVE ENERGY**

This is my gift to all of you. I would like to share the energy of my Birth-day & the energy of 12/12/12 & the New Moon with anyone who like to do this. Practicing “Intentional Creativity” (as taught to me by my teacher & mentor, Shiloh Sophia McCloud) has completely changed my life, so I’d like to share this gift with you, as well. Would you like to re-boot, wipe the slate clean & begin anew in 2013? Then this is the event for YOU!

And it’s FREE. There’s no catch. I just want to share this evening with those of you who feel that this is something that speaks to you & that you would feel empowered by doing! And it’s going to be FUN–I promise! (If you’d like to bring some food or drink to share with the group, or leave a donation in the box to cover the cost of my supplies, that would be gratefully appreciated. But, again, there is NO expectation of anything FROM you, I just want to share my time, energy & creativity WITH you. Also, if you’d like to bring a personal item to place on the alter as an offering or prayer, you are welcome to do that, as well.)

So—If this is something that you’d like to do, please leave a comment below or email me at susan@glittergypsy.com so I can plan accordingly. Space is limited, so if you’d like to come, please let me know as soon as possible. Also, as the date approaches, begin by spending some quiet time with yourself every day or every other day, at least. Even 10 or 15 minutes is enough. Go through magazines, books & the like & just randomly tear out images, words, quotes, etc. that “speak to you.” (There doesn’t need to be any rhyme or reason to your process–just tear it out. Let your subconscious mind, rather than your conscious mind do the work for a change. I’ll also have plenty of supplies here, but by doing this in advance, you’ll have more to work with.) Also try doing some journalling or free-writing during this quiet time & allow things to just flow onto the page. Again, don’t think about it too much, just write down what comes to you. There’s no judgement here, we’re just trying to activate our “right brains,” since we spend most of our time in our “left brains” doing more logical type work. We just want to balance our right & left brains, so that creativity can inform our daily lives. It is a great way to achieve a more balanced life. Instead of always thinking, planning, doing, making lists & the like, if we can also tap into our just being-ness, dreaming, doodling, painting, etc., that balance is more accessible. We sort of have to re-train our brains, otherwise, we just end up in stress & burn-out much of the time. You can actually get MORE done by using BOTH sides of your brain & end up feeling happier & more joy-full!

OK, you ready? I can’t wait to spend time with you, my friends! It’s going to be awesome & inspiring!!!

**Lucie Lynch is a professional singer/songwriter and actress influenced by Joni Mitchell, Jewel, Eva Cassedy, Ben Harper and Jack Johnson. She uses her voice as her primary instrument with her travel-guitar “Martin” strumming along wherever her Song may take us. It’s not uncommon for Lucie to visibly shift as the music starts to channel spontaneous lyrics, sweeping the audience to arrive together with a

Hi, my glitter gypsies! How are you today? I am very well, thank you! I want to send out a BIG MAHALO to all of the beautiful women & girls who attended my 1st retreat of the Fall Series on 9/10/11! We had a terrific time & everyone left with a finished Mandala that they all really loved! It was so fascinating to watch while each person created something from their own heART, not really knowing the outcome, but trusting in the process. Lots of support & inspiration were flowing freely & lovingly. The Mandalas all turned out very differently, reflecting the personal journeys that each person was on.

We began in a Ritual, known as “the Red Thread Ceremony.” Many years ago, my teacher, mentor & artist extraordinaire, Shiloh Sophia McCloud, introduced me to this ritual & passed it on to me to share with even more women. It is a way of creating a vessel, or sacred space, to hold all of us safely in the arms of freedom to create that which is wanting to be expressed, even if we’re not sure exactly what that is. It was a beautiful & blessed day, to be sure.

Again, I would like to thank all of the women & girls who joined me on 9/10/11! Which brings me to the next workshop on 10/01/11, 10:30-5:30 again. This time, we will be creating 3-dimensional shrines (or memory boxes.)An amazing workshop that you won’t want to miss!!! Just go to the Home Page & click on Personal Shrines & Memory Boxes button & all of the details are there. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Sign up early, & get a discount + save your spot! Hope to see you there!!!

P.S. Within the next few days, I will be posting A SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT/OPPORTUNITY! It is very exciting how the Universe plopped this into my lap, as I am open & flowing & following my heART , even if I’m not sure where it’s leading me…… Mahalo…..Glitter Gypsy

Hi, everybody! Thank you so much for stopping by!!!!
Where do I begin? It has just been a whirlwind of activities, experiences, highs, lows, & everything in between for the past 2 months.
I have been riding high on my puffy, glittery clouds way up in the stratosphere for the past few months, on my journey to my reality, & having loads of fun along the way. My amazing trip to Mexico & CA, as well as putting on “The Women’s Spiritual Creativity Retreat” in Hawaii from April 8-10, 2011 really had me on a high of doing the type of work that I really want to be doing in my life. Everything went so smoothly, was rewarding & fun & left me with a huge dose of self-confidence to continue forward on this journey.
As I said earlier, I returned from Mexico, reunited with my family, & spent time with them reconnecting for several days. The following weekend was the retreat I had been planning on the North Shore of Oahu. So, with all of my goods packed up in the “gypsy wagon,” I embarked on my next adventure.
Drove up to the North Shore of Oahu (the island where I live) to the beautiful, magical “Benedictine Monastery of Hawaii,” where I would be spending the next several days. I checked into my room, with the adjoining suite, where the actual activities would be happening. Fine-tuned the schedule, & placed a copy in everyone’s room. I decorated the room with brightly colored scarves & tapestries, lit lots of candles, & scattered my artwork throughout the room to “set the tone.”
The guests began arriving one by one, checking into their private rooms, settling in, eating, attending prayer vigils, and the like, before we were to meet in the “suite” for opening Red Thread Ceremony.
Alas, we began. We passed the red thread of connection & spoke a bit about ourselves & why we were here. After having connected, we all went to our rooms for sleep, meditation, or contemplation, (whatever was needed for each individual.)
The next day, we met again to begin creating our own personal nichos– Mexican tin & glass alters, or shrines, to work on whatever was on our heart that weekend. Everyone was successful, receiving clarity & enlightenment in physical form, in what they had created. Openings & illuminations poured forth from the nichos AND the women. We continued our work on Sunday, & had our closing ceremony mid-afternoon. We all shared & cried & laughed about our experiences that weekend. No one left feeling empty or unenlightened. It was a magical experience, & I thank all of the participants, as well as the Benedictine Community for sharing a bit of themselves with me.
Which, brings me to the title of this post. Please check out cosmiccowgirlsmagazine.wordpress.com for the latest article, featuring moi, Glitter Gypsy, written by the amazingly talented Elizabeth Gibbons, Queen of Glitter, to learn more about me & what I’m up to!
Thank you, Elizabeth, Shiloh, & all of the amazing women behind this magazine, for the honor of being featured this month….. And for the privilege of working with you
