The event will include conversations with Pilar about the importance of the arts and humanities, the Pilar Pobil Humanities Scholarship, and interviews with this year’s humanities scholarship recipient Rita Anderson, and female exhibiting artists: Susan Conrad Risse, Kristen Mitchell, Briar West, Mary Pusey, Terry Coker Peterson, and Pilar Pobil. The online women with heART exhibit will run from October 24 – November 14, 2020, beginning with a LIVE event on the Pilar Pobil Legacy Foundation’s YouTube channel on October 24th from 7:00-7:30 p.m.(MDT.) Partial proceeds support the Pilar Pobil Humanities Scholarship at the University of Utah.The Pilar Pobil Legacy Foundation’s mission is to secure the legacy of artist Pilar Pobil. We are committed to preserving her Salt Lake City home and art collection, while continuing her contributions to the arts and humanities through educational programs and exhibitions for the community. Forbidden Fruit Painting & Chocolate Tasting Workshop

Glitter Gypsy in Oahu Open Studios~You’re Invited~November 14-15

What is Oahu Open Studios? Fifty one local artists will be opening their art studios to the public over the next two weekends. Our event kicks off tomorrow evening at First Friday Arts Walk in Chinatown (November 6,2015, 6:00-9:00p.m.) with our Opening Celebration/Preview Exhibition. Meet the artists & preview their artwork, while enjoying refreshments & live music. The art show will remain hanging there in the lobby of “Bishop Place” (1132 Bishop St. at Fort Street Mall-take the escalator up & pass the security guard to the “Main Lobby”) through November 20th.

Finish your Christmas shopping in one place! My current inventory of paintings, art prints, jewelry & more will be on sale for this one night event. I’ll also be having a drawing for a door prize. Just stop by & drop your business card or name & email in the box & I’ll let you know if you’ve won. You needn’t be present at the time of the drawing to win. We’ll also have live music, food & a *Secret Beer Garden* there. What’s not to like? **Note: It’s a little tricky to find because it’s a courtyard, located between Smith and Maunakea Streets, with an entrance off either street. It lies with the square block between these two streets & N. Hotel Street & N. Pauahi St. (It’s not well marked, so if you can get within this square block, just poke around or ask where the Chinatown Artists lofts are.) What an amazing event at the Kahala Resort in Honolulu, HI that I attended on Saturday. Professors Bliss Lau (Designer) & Jasmine Takanikos (Branding Strategist)from Parsons The New School of Design in NYC held a Master Class & Networking Workshop full of incredible information for creative entrepreneurs. Such a rare chance to learn from such successful leaders in their respective fields.I’m always eager to learn new information & new ways approaching business.
